Lapp Group has introduced the first VFD cable with UL and CSA TC approvals in the U.S.

OLFLEX® VFD SLIM is a reduced diameter shielded motor supply cable for variable frequency drives. The materials used are designed to hold up to the non-linear power distortions associated with VFD drives. This cable has a specially blended PVC jacket that is approved for both UL and CSA standards for 600 volts. Available in sizes that range from 16 AWG to 2 AWG, it is also approved for 1000 volts by UL AWM and is c(UL) and CAS AWM approved.

OLFLEX® VFD SLIM design is different from other VFD motor supply cables. It has a specially formulated semi-conductive insulation that smoothes out the stranded copper. This design will disperse increases in voltage caused by wave reflections, harmonics and spikes preventing conductor and cable failure, and eliminating downtime. OLFLEX® VFD SLIM also conforms to CE and NOM making it a globally accepted solution.
